Is your Race Inc bike axle moving or sliding making your chain loose? Well Billet BMX has you covered with our Chain Tensioner kit. This kit was designed to solve this issue and was specifically made for the Race Inc 20mm dropout frame.
Billet BMX chain tensioners feature an internal bolt that does not stick out like other brands on the market. The Shield slides front to back with adjustment making it easy to match axle position on both slides using numbered markings. These are made from 6061 T6 aluminum that are fully CNC machined. The 20mm Washer/Adapters are made from Stainless Steel for Maximum Strength. The CNC parts are tumbler polished then bright dip anodized for glossy appearance and corrosion resistance. They are finished with Laser engraving for high end detail.

Note: Not recommended for use with Pegs. Shield may hit peg when adjusting chain tension depending where axle sits in dropouts. Moving axle towards front of bike in dropouts by shortening chain will move shield slider farther from axle allowing more clearance for pegs. Shields are also removable to get more clearance if needed. Many of our customers do have our Tensioners installed with Pegs but modification to the chain may be required for proper fitment. I have both chrome and silver tensioners for Race Inc along with Deez Nutz in 26TPI. Perfect combo and looks fantastic!

These are built so solid but weigh nothing. Axles finally stay in place without having to check and readjust like I did with other tensioners I tried, and best part no little screw poking out the back. I literally installed the adapters and tensioners in a couple minutes and haven’t had to mess with them once. I can now ride my bike without the worry of the tire shifting to one side. Thanks Billet for your great products and customer service.

Just installed my Race INC tensioner for my 29” easy install and if your wheel is shifting here is your solution .. I didn’t have any issues with the wheel shifting until I changed my tire size to 700x40 which the tire circumference is now smaller possibly not handle the torque and making it shift much easier. This was my experience and it resolved it and this is the must have tensioner for the Race INC do to the design of the 20mm drop out. Dont waste your money in any other tensioner this is the right way to go!

First off I’m 68 years old, really like the look of the Race Inc Bikes. My first purchase was the 29”. I added the black chain tensioners and made a few other changes. These are the ticket for chain adjustment. The quality, fit and finish are superb. I just finished my black 26” when Billet BMX announced that they were going to offer the tensioners in chrome, I got on their email list to purchase the first production run. I’m totally stoked on the chrome and etching. The chrome is show quality and fit like a glove.
