Triple-butting means the tube walls are thicker at the stress points — the joints, the dropouts, the headtube — and thinner through the mid-section where weight savings matter and strength is less critical. The result is a frame that is meaningfully lighter than the cro-mo version, noticeably stiffer under load, and still completely at home on the pump track, at the dirt jumps, and in the skatepark bowl.
